KUALA LUMPUR: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today lashed out at certain Islamic nations for allegedly supporting a policy which suppresses Palestinians. Without identifying any particular country, Erdogan reminded the Muslim community that the main struggle of the Al-Quds is not only for Palestinian freedom, but the dignity of the Islamic world. It is believed that he was referring to the “deal of the century” Israel-Palestinian peace plan recently unveiled by US President Donald Trump. “It is also our greatest desire that Muslim countries show their determination to govern Al-Quds in accordance with the importance it signifies for the Muslim world,” said Erdogan. We do not recognise this plan, which means annexing Palestinian territories, completely destroying Palestine and completely extorting Al-Quds.
