Former President Donald Trump took to the stage with these words last night, marking a return to public speaking with a scattergun attack on the state of America. Shortly before taking the stage, Trump said the Republicans would take back Congress and the White House "sooner than you might think" but stopped short of saying he'd run again in 2024. President Biden has recently hailed "historic progress" on jobs, saying more than two million had been created since he took office. In a video shared shortly before the event, Trump said: "I wanna thank everybody for the tremendous support you've shown. We're going to take back the Senate, take back the House, we're gonna take back the White House and sooner than you think it's going to be really something special."
