U.S. President Donald Trump toured a Ford F-150 plant near Detroit on Tuesday, reiterating past comments about how the U.S. doesn't need Canadian cars. A union leader who represents Ford workers in Windsor — where F-150 engines are made — takes issue with those comments. During an appearance at a Michigan Ford plant, Trump said the U.S. doesn't need Canadian cars. Just across the border in Windsor, Ont., Ford workers make engines that power Ford F-150 trucks, along with Super Duty models and the Mustang. During his appearance at the plant, Trump also called the Canada-United States-Mexico trade pact "irrelevant."
