Bilateral talks between United States (US) President Donald Trump and Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte will go on next month. This will likely take place at the sidelines of the Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN)-US meeting. ASEAN 2017 National Organizing Council Director General for Operations Marciano Paynor Jr. said the bilateral talks have been agreed "in principle," which is a step in securing a meeting between heads of state. Trump is set to arrive in the Philippines on November 12. Trump's visit to the Philippines will be the last leg of his Asian trip that includes Japan, South Korea, China and Vietnam.
