Delegates will also vote on a new constitution that Trudeau has championed, but which has raised questions and concerns among many Liberals. The new constitution would remove membership fees, but opponents say it would concentrate power with Trudeau and his inner circle. The atmosphere and our climate certainly don’t need them. The party will need two-thirds of votes to be in favour for the new constitution to be adopted. Delegates rejected that request, but if the level of support for the request was any indication, the vote on the new constitution could be close.
