MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Storm Ramon is expected to make landfall between Saturday evening and Monday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported Thursday. ADVERTISEMENTAs of 4 a.m., Ramon was spotted 355 kilometers east of Legazpi City, Albay with maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph. Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal Number 2 is still raised over Catanduanes while Signal Number 1 is raised over Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Eastern Samar, and Northern Samar. The state weather bureau said after Ramon makes landfall, it is expected to weaken into a tropical depression. Pagasa said light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains are expected over Bicol Region and the eastern portions of Isabela and Cagayan on Thursday.
