Trio jailed for roles in Christchurch meth dealing ring

A Christchurch mother and son were involved in a methamphetamine dealing ring that had ties to the Tribesmen gang. The pair, along with a third offender, were sentenced in the Christchurch District Court on Wednesday. Judge Raoul Neave said although Smith was at the helm of the ring, Ross, 53, played a significant role. Howard pleaded guilty last year to offering to supply meth, two charges of possession of meth for supply, possession of meth, possession of two knives, three charges of failing to assist police, possession of a scoop and point bags, offering to supply meth, and possession of a pipe.
