KARACHI: An appellate bench of the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday rejected the nomination of Saifullah Abro of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for the March 3 Senate elections. Abro had filed nomination papers on the PTI ticket to contest the election from Sindh on technocrat seat. The forum after hearing the arguments reversed the RO’s decision, rejecting Abro’s nomination for Senate. “The objections raised by the petitioners were proved true and Saifullah Abro does not fulfill the requirement of a technocrat,” the order read. Two appeals were filed against Abro, while an appeal was filed against the acceptance of Vawda’s nomination papers on a general seat.
