The alleged murder took place on or before March 23, 2016, at Hokio Beach, coastal settlement to the west of Levin. SUPPLIED Palmiro MacDonald was allegedly murdered in early 2016, but his body not found for another six months. His remains were found near the Mangahao Dam, near the foothills of the Tararua Range near Shannon, in October 2016.
