The murder trial of two men who allegedly killed Nomads gang member Palmiro MacDonald, more than six months before his body was found, is under wayJoseph William Johnson and Chea Paratene Charles Brattle-Hemara Haeana pleaded not guilty in the High Court in Palmerston North on Wednesday to murdering MacDonald. The alleged murder took place on or before March 23, 2016, at Hokio Beach, coastal settlement to the west of Levin. SUPPLIED Palmiro MacDonald was allegedly murdered in early 2016, but his body not found for another six months. His remains were found near the Mangahao Dam, near the foothills of the Tararua Range near Shannon, in October 2016.
