Racing minister Winston Peters plans to introduce two new pieces of legislation this year in an effort to revitalise the domestic racing industry. Leaders from the country's big national sports organisations will front a select committee hearing for the Racing Reform Bill on Wednesday to push their case for a better deal. Currently, the racing sector gets more benefit from sports betting than the sport sector.
