Activists Joshua Wong Chi-fung and Ivan Lam Long-yin, who had pleaded not guilty to involvement in besieging the police headquarters in Wan Chai on June 21 last year, appeared at the West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts today for pre-trial review. A six-day trial has been scheduled to begin on November 23 and the prosecution will summon 17 witnesses. Another defendant in the case, Agnes Chow Ting, had pleaded guilty to a count of incitement to knowingly take part in an unauthorized assembly and knowingly taking part in an unauthorized assembly, but Joshua Wong and Ivan Lam denied the charges. Wong, who was also charged with a count of organizing an unauthorized assembly, said he will dispute that the police used unreasonable means to forcibly hack his mobile phone to seize evidence in the case.
