Tri-nation peace motor rally arrives in Bangladesh

The motor rally, which will also promote the message of safe driving, entered Bangladesh through the Petrapole-Benapole border and will depart for India on Tuesday via the Akhaura-Agartala route. Kalinga Motor Sports Club (KMSC), with support from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has arranged the motor rally as part of the year-long programme to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The motor rally will cover 7,250 km in 22 days in three countries and will involve 10 vehicles. The motor rally delegation, comprising of 35 participants and 10 vehicles, is led by Shambhu Singh, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India.
