Tremors felt from Thailand to India as 6.8 earthquake strikes Myanmar

The US Geological Survey (USGS) recorded the earthquake as 6.8 on the Richter scale. The USGS said the quake shook buildings across Myanmar and the region. The quake shook buildings in buildings in Myanmar's biggest city of Yangon and in other towns and cities, witnesses said. Office buildings in the Thai capital of Bangkok, to the east of Myanmar, shook for a few seconds, residents there said.
