The virus is raging in the United States and Canada’s second wave is worsening as the holidays approach. The United States recorded more than 200,000 Covid-19 cases per day for four straight days, according to a Reuters tally of official data. The United States has reported about 15.6 million cases and 292,642 deaths since the start of the pandemic. Statistics Canada said in October that August visits to Canada by car by US travelers were down 95.7%, and the number of US travelers to Canada by plane fell by 97.9%.
