MIRI: A 10-year-old boy was trapped for more than half an hour inside a locked car parked behind the district office here, panicking his parents and the public who saw him slumped on the back seat. Passers-by tried frantically to wake the boy up by shaking the car and shouting at him but he remained unconscious during the incident which happened at 5pm on Monday. The boy was ultimately rescued when several policemen and two teams of firemen arrived, as one of the firemen managed to force open a car door. He was carried out of the car and staggered to his feet to the relief of his parents and two other siblings who were outside the vehicle.
