Manchester United have reportedly hit back at Chelsea for being tough negotiators during discussions about Mason Mount. Erik ten Hag’s side are said to have now cooled their interest in the playmaker and turned their attention to alternative targets – namely Moises Caicedo of Brighton. Liverpool and Arsenal were previously linked with the 24-year-old, though United turned his head by registering their interest. However, Erik ten Hag’s side are prepared to walk away from the playmaker after their £55million bid was countered by Chelsea, who are keen to receive £65m for the services of their midfielder. United have joined the race to sign Caicedo, who is valued on the south coast at over £100m.
