A nurse at the centre of a trans row tribunal has praised the courage of colleagues south of the Border after they won a landmark case against health chiefs. As part of a judgement handed down on Friday, Employment Judge Seamus Sweeney ruled that County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation trust’s conduct amounted to harassment and indirect sex discrimination. ‘It beggars belief that John Swinney and the SNP continue to betray women by refusing to instruct Scotland’s public bodies to uphold the Supreme Court ruling. Commenting on their tribunal victory on X, she said: ‘Women have the right not to undress in front of men at work. ‘Every key area of government which is or may be affected by the Supreme Court judgment is carrying out assessments across legislation, guidance and policies – and in some areas changes have already been made.
