A clinical advisory group made up of experts from across rugby league’s three professional competitions has held detailed talks over the process to return to training ahead of a planned August restart. Instead clubs could return at stage two, allowing the contact training described as “absolutely essential” by RFL chief medical officer and England doctor Chris Brookes before playing can recommence.
