The driver of a Lalmoni Express train, Dhaka-bound from Lalmonirhat, stopped the train to avoid a head-on collision with another of Rajshahi Express waiting at Sirajganj’s Jamtail Station, on Wednesday. The incident was informed by Jamtail’s Station Master Sohail Khan and Railway (GRP) police station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Syed Iqbal. However, no station master from either station acknowledged the mistake, instead blamed each other for the incident. However, the Raipur station master did not clear the Rajshahi Express train on the track at Raipur station. According to the codes received, he let the Rajshahi express train leave Raipur station.
