The student wings of ruling Awami League and the BNP are facing off against each other at Government BL College Khulna over a notice served on Chhatra Dal to vacate the dormitory. The notice in question was served by Bangladesh Chhatra League’s college unit on its letterhead on Wednesday morning ordering activists of Chhatra Dal to leave the dormitory within that afternoon. It has been learnt that Chhatra Dal had protested against Chhatra League’s BL College unit chief Rakib Morol’s attempt to grab a piece of the institution’s land. BL College Chhatra Dal leader Riaz Shahed said Chhatra League leaders had threatened their activists and issued to vacate order without any reason. But Rakib claimed that the Chhatra Dal had spread “false and fabricated information” about his land grab attempt.
