ALOR GAJAH: A river outing by a group of boys in Kampung Tengah, Kuala Sungai Baru here, ended in tragedy when one of them drowned. They said my brother had returned home after playing at the river. However, after repeated questioning, his friends admitted that they saw my brother getting into difficulty in the river,” he said at the Alor Gajah hospital here today. “The rescue team found his body at 9pm yesterday, 50 metres from where he parked his bicycle,” he said.
