KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has filed an application to strike out a suit by former cabinet minister Datuk Zaid Ibrahim against AmBank Islamic Bhd. Nur Hazira said the court also ordered Zaid to reply to the application by Sept 28, while Najib who is the intervenor in the suit, was directed to reply by Oct 16. "The court later fixed Nov 3 as the next case management before High Court Judicial Commissioner Rohani Ismail," she said on Friday. Zaid had initiated the civil action against AmBank Islamic, which was named as the sole respondent in the suit. On July 28, the High Court granted the application by Najib to intervene in the suit on grounds that he had sufficient interest in the matter as the bank accounts in question are his.
