In a bid to beef up security measures, DMP has outlined directions for smoother traffic management in DhakaThe Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in a press release has announced restrictions on vehicular movement in some parts of Dhaka during Independence Day on March 26. A press release signed by DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia in this regard was issued on Sunday. According to the instructions provided by the DMP, restrictions on vehicular movement will be in effect from 12pm till the end of the Bangabhaban event on Tuesday. However, vehicles passing through the Bangabandhu National Stadium area will have to use alternate routes from 6am on Tuesday. All traffic movement will remain closed from Sergeant Ahad police box to the Ittefaq intersection.
