Businessmen want the Chania River road block which was erected to prevent movement from Nairobi in the wake of the Covid-19 spread, moved to Githurai to ease movement between Murang’a and Thika. Officials of the local branch of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry said the road block should be moved to Githurai in Kiambu to allow Murang’a traders access to their business premises in Thika town and its environs. Speaking in Murang’a town, Kamau said the road block manned by General Service Unit officers should be relocated to Kiambu County to give traders smooth access to Thika town.
