Allegations of mismanagement have been leveled at this year’s Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF), with traders complaining they have had to pay extra cash at the entry gates to bring in stock. According to DITF rules, any trader with an entry-pass will not have to pay extra money in order to bring their products inside the fair. But despite the rule, a fair number of traders had to buy extra tickets, without which their entry would have been restricted. The traders lamented about this to this correspondent at the DITF on Saturday, adding that these issues had increased during the later days of the trade fair. When asked about the complaints of mismanagement, DITF’s Member Secretary Abdur Rouf told the Dhaka Tribune that their officers regularly monitored the trade fair and received complaints.
