A tractor-trailer travelling on Prince of Wales Drive crashed early Monday morning, taking down a hydro pole before landing on its side in a ditch and leaking fuel. The damaged truck leaked diesel fuel and a hazardous materials team was sent to the scene, fire officials said. The downed hydro pole forced Hydro Ottawa to shut down power in the immediate area. Crews were busy later Monday morning putting up a new hydro pole and getting ready to tow the truck out of the ditch. Prince of Wales Drive is closed from Lodge Road to Jockvale Road.
