A meeting of the task force of Haritha Keralam Mission, chaired by District Collector A.R. Ajayakumar, decided to declare all tourism destinations in the district plastic-free. District Tourism Promotion Council would be directed to ban plastic in all tourism destinations in the district, Mr. Ajayakumar said after the meeting. The meeting decided to organise two district-level workshops on January 21 and January 27 as a part of restoring 16 rivulets in the district. It decided to organise various programmes to restore all tributaries of the Kabani with the support of the public and officials of various departments.
