Rishabh Pant who was not included in the ODI squad against Australia has been asked by coach Ravi Shastri to work on finishing games. The young wicket-keeper batsman had impressed everyone by scoring 350 runs at an average of 58.33 to emerge as the second leading run-scorer for India during the four-match Test series against Australia. However, the 21-year-old – who scored an unbeaten 159 in Sydney – was not included in the squad for the Australia and New Zealand ODIs. Pant needs to learn to finish games, which will be important for India during the World Cup Coach Shastri said. Chief national selector MSK Prasad had also earlier said that Pant would still be a part of India’s World Cup plans.
