“This study provides a similar tool for town building decision-making.”Belmont has eight buildings with office space for town activities. The committee has identified 16,000 square feet of unused or underused space in town buildings, while the police station, Town Hall and library need additional space. Belmont residents have suggested a wide range of possible actions, from no change to expanding the police department, Town Hall and library. “We're taking a big-picture look at all town buildings to help the community make decisions for the future,” said Hepp. Members of the Belmont Facility Strategy Committee are Hepp, Tom Garfield, Carmen Lorentz, and Pret Tuthill.
