However, The Guardian claim Tottenham have started a dialogue with the French club to beat their rivals to a deal. The report says no official bid has been made as of yet and that Lyon’s asking price of £66.6million could prove to be a stumbling box. Whatever happens with Spurs, the 22-year-old is destined to leave after president Jean-Michel Aulas admitted: “I am negotiating with the biggest European clubs for Ndombele."
