Bournemouth are in advanced talks to sign Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas on a loan deal with a conditional obligation to buy. The value of the clause is expected to be under £21m, and understood to be difficult to trigger, with a high number of appearances and an unlikely European finish among the conditions being discussed. Mandas has played 33 times for the Italian top flight club and is a two-time Greece international. The Cherries negotiated a similar structure when they signed Alex Jimenez from AC Milan in the summer, and he now looks set to meet the targets required for a permanent move. Dorde Petrovic is Bournemouth's first-choice keeper, while Fraser Forster recently joined as back-up.
