The 25-year-old moved to the Spanish capital in the summer of 2024, with Atletico paying Chelsea around £34m for his services. The Athletic report that Tottenham are closing in on signing Gallagher, seemingly winning the battle for him thanks to a €40million (£34.7m) bid. With 22 caps to his name already, Gallagher is hoping to force his way back into the England team in time for the World Cup this summer. Thomas Frank has also been without Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma of late as they are playing at AFCON.
