Toronto FC has waived Canadian forward Mo Babouli. After impressing in training camp last season, the 24-year-old from suburban Mississauga appeared in 16 games in 2016 including six starts. He had one assist in 647 minutes of league playing time. But an injured ankle has kept him out of action this season and the MLS team decided he was surplus for requirements. But it was fellow Canadian Jordan Hamilton who eventually impressed as the understudy.
