Veterans in Windsor no longer face a two hour journey to voice their concerns and access services. After three years, a new Veterans Affairs office officially opened Friday to meet the needs of about 2,700 men and women who served as soldiers. The federal government has hired 15 people to work at the office. "This is part of our commitment to Canadians, and we stand by this promise," wrote Minister of Veterans Affairs; Kent Hehr, in a statement. "Our government continues to support Canada's veterans."
