DUNEDIN, Fla. — The closer the Blue Jays inch towards more meaningful spring training games and ultimately opening day, the more the status of potential leadoff hitter Devon Travis is a concern. The young second baseman is still recovering from off-season surgery to his right knee and Jays manager John Gibbons acknowledged on Tuesday that the progress has been slower than first anticipated. “I don’t know when he’s going to be back and ready to go. “I don’t know when he’s going to be back and ready to go. “We’re not locked into where everybody is going to be yet, but that’s probably what’s going to happen,” Gibbons said.
