Tornado warning downgraded to severe thunderstorms for parts of southern Alberta


A tornado warning for Airdrie, Cochrane, Didsbury, Olds and Sundre was downgraded to severe thunderstorm just before 11 p.m. MT. Severe thunderstorm watches are in place for Caroline, Innisfail, Ponoka, Red Deer, Rocky Mountain House and Stettler. Parts of Alberta could be hit with some extreme weather as Environment Canada issues multiple warnings and watches late Friday.
