CAIRO – 21 June 2024: Top U.S. State Department official Andrew Miller who served as deputy assistant secretary for Israeli-Palestinian Affairs resigned from President Joe Biden’s administration, according to media reports. It was added that Miller had been intending to resign for some time due to the US administration's position on the Gaza war. The State Department spokesperson also announced that they are collaborating with the governments of Egypt and Israel to reopen the Rafah crossing. The Israeli occupation forces continue to launch hundreds of airstrikes and artillery shelling, committing crimes across various regions of the Gaza Strip. Israeli occupation aircraft have destroyed entire residential blocks in the Gaza Strip, following a comprehensive destruction policy during their ongoing aggression on the region.
