Top Islander in Blue Nose marathon finishes 31st

The top-finishing Islander in the 2016 Blue Nose Marathon held in Halifax over the weekend was Carl Bradley of Morell, P.E.I., who finished 31st overall. Last year, Islander Kris Taylor edged out Hipson to take second place in the Blue Nose. That's about 45 minutes after the winner, Bryan Hipson of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, who ran the marathon in just 2 hours and 46 minutes. Veteran marathoner Francis Fagan of Charlottetown was the second-fastest Islander coming in 43rd place, and Matthew Hanus of Cornwall after him, placing 69th. Bradley finished 26th out of 140 men, and fourth in his category of men between the ages of 20 and 29.
