SHC ordere­d the remova­l of the Toll Plaza at the Jamsho­ro bypass, howeve­r hefty taxes are still extrac­tedHYDERABAD: Not long ago the Sindh High Court ordered the removal of the Toll Plaza at the Jamshoro bypass, terming it illegal and unconstitutional. In line with that a further order was passed by the court and the National Highway Authority was directed not to collect tax at the illegal Toll Plaza. The court also suspended the recovery of toll tax at the Toll Plaza and bypass road. However, unfortunately the same said Toll Plaza has been in operation for the past one year and has been charging a hefty amount from the motorists illegally. Normally huge gridlock situation appears at the bypass because many transport vehicles are stopped to collect money by unlawful means by the illegal Toll Plaza staff.
