If you are working from home because of the coronavirus pandemic and think you are embracing flexible working, you’re not. Flexible working does not materialise overnight. You’re not expected to figure out technology and communication protocols on your own. Most of all, you’re definitely not expected to work while simultaneously looking after your children. As experts in flexible working, we are watching with interest, and sometimes dismay, as millions of Scottish workers have been forced in to home working because of Covid-19.
