KUALA LUMPUR: Alibaba’s cross-border platform, Tmall Global, is confident that Malaysia will remain as one of its fastest growing exporters, after the country was ranked seventh last year. Tmall Global Business development director Rex Cheuk said Malaysia products exported on the online platform has received an overwhelming response among Chinese consumers. Last week, Tmall Global announced that Malaysia was among the fastest-growing exporters to China the platform in 2017. Malaysia ranked seventh, according to the 2017 Tmall Global Annual Consumers Report, after niche countries such as Greece, Chile, Poland, Hungary, Spain, Brazil, Austria and Denmark being measured by year-on-year growth. Besides that, the seminar is the latest showcase in Alibaba’s realisation of the Electronic World Trade Platform (eWTP) pilot at the Digital Free Trade Zone in Malaysia.
