AMA Online Education finally snapped a five-game losing streak with a thrilling 67-66 victory over Gamboa Coffee Mix in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) D-League Foundation Cup on Tuesday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City. Trailing by three points with 1:51 left in the payoff period, 61-64, the Titans uncorked a 6-2 wind-up to steal the game from the Coffee Lovers and notch their first win in the tournament. Andrei Paras netted a double-double game of 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Titans. Avenido had 15 points and five rebounds to lead the Coffee Lovers, who dropped to 1-5. Montuano added 11 markers and 13 rebounds while Val Acuña and JR Cawiling hit for 11 and 10 points, respectively for Gamboa Coffee.
