Barney, a tiny Jack Russell, might never have been found had a passerby not heard his faint cries. His frantic owner called in the coastguard and a search of the area was carried out, but there was no trace of the dog. All involved feared the worst and left the scene gutted - but there was a stroke of luck the following day. The tiny dog was packed safely into an animal rescue bag and carried down to safety. The puppy was described as being worn out from the ordeal but quickly recovered and is settling back in at home.
