Tinkle scored 26 as Oregon State beats Portland State

Portland State hung tough despite trailing by 19 points three times during the second half, the last time being at the 11:54 mark of the second half. Portland State was without injured center Sal Nuhu, who’s missed four games with an ankle sprain, and starting forward Alonzo Walker due to a heel injury. The Vikings made it 80-76 on a short jumper from Woods with 19.7 seconds left, but Portland State ran out of time. Thompson threw down a fast-break dunk at the 8:11 mark for a 25-18 Beavers’ lead. The Beavers are 14-0 all time against Portland State and 10-0 at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis.
