As part of the D-Day 75th anniversary the Royal Hospital in Chelsea announced that they would be making available their eleven Chelsea pensioners, who fought on that day in 1944, and through the Normandy campaign that followed. As a sign of the advanced age of these venerable old soldiers, only seven were able to make it to the photo call. TIMES PHOTOGRAPHER RICHARD POHLE
