Seventeen new members signed up to the Timaru Woodturner's Club on Sunday's open day. Club secretary Keith Tyler-Smith said it was the first time the club had run its open day at the same time as the monthly Phar Lap Raceway Market. The club also had a stall selling member's wood pieces and pointed interested customers to the workshop which is located on the raceway property. "It [the open day] has been good fun.
