Cactus Fire on the Bay Hill has devised a doggie delight in the form of $4 puppuccinos, with a portion of the cost going to dog rescue charity Pound Paws. Pound Paws founder, Charmaine McLaren, said the move was a lovely surprise which she discovered when the restaurant tagged the charity in their social media post. “Someone’s unwanted animal has become someone’s treasure.”Valentina Bellomo/Stuff Nash, an eight-year-old Jack Russell Nash enjoys a puppuccino at Timaru restaurant Cactus Fire. Heurea said she knew about Pound Paws from social media having come across them while looking to adopt a playmate for Zeno. “One of our regulars has two Pound Paws rescues and they’re incrediably excited to support the initiative,” said Phillips.
