MANILA, Philippines — US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson would have to attend the East Asia Summit in Manila on November 14 as US President Donald Trump will go home early, the Philippines' top diplomat said Wednesday. Trump will be in Manila for the special gala celebration of the 50th anniversary of ASEAN on November 12 and the ASEAN-US Summit on November 13. Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano said that the Trump camp was actually looking forward to the East Asia Summit. Trump will be in Vietnam for the APEC Economic Leaders' Summit before proceeding to the Philippines.
