Tigray Region Ease Some Restrictions Over COVID-19By Staff ReporterApril 25, 2020 (Ezega.com) -- The Tigray Regional State has eased some of the restrictions it imposed to contain the spread of COVID-19 and ordered civil servants to get back to their jobs. The regional government has also lifted travel restrictions within districts and on some businesses and trading activities which were suspended for two weeks. The decision to ease the restrictions was to stimulate economic activities in the region” Deberetsion said. “The government had made a 14-day lock-down, house to house check-ups and quarantined people coming to the region and the result of all has proved that no case of COVID-19 was confirmed in the region,” the acting president said. Ethiopia has reported 117 confirmed COVID-19 cases that have caused three deaths.
