So I was delighted to find that American Express and the National Trust for Historic Preservation, in partnership with Main Street America, launched Partners in Preservation: Main Streets. The campaign will award $2 million in American Express preservation grants to historic sites in 25 Main Street districts across the country as decided by public vote. The public is invited and encouraged to vote once a day for up to five main street projects through October 31. Steamboat Springs, Colorado Main Street Steamboat Springs seeks to restore and repurpose a historic caboose as an artist-in-residence studio and gateway to Main Street.
